4th of July

For the for 4th of July we celebrate with the West side of the family and this is how our day goes. Arrive at Grandma and Grandpa's, eat, swim, eat, do some daytime fireworks, eat, take a break and go to Grandma and Grandpa J's, eat, go back to the West's, eat , do our fireworks and then to end the night we watch the fireworks on Memorial Hill.

The kids have the best time in Grandma Net's pool. They played and played until they got too cold. Then they would get out and lay on the trampoline and get warm and then jump back in. Grandpa Larry and Jer even got in and played for a while. The kids like them to get in because then they can be thrown in the air and land with a big splash. Colton and Emily thought that they were going to gang up on Grandpa and "take him down." That was a great idea but was very unsuccessful.

Jagger and his new squirt gun. Everyone who was there became his victim at some point.

Another tradition that we have during fireworks is the "Battle on the Driveway." We have been doing this since we got married. First you have to get all the available battle type fireworks and make a plan. Set up for the battle and let the destruction begin. This is a process that take a lot of thought and time to set up. This is SERIOUS business.
Jer and Dan used to be the General's that would set up the battlefield and now they sit back and let Jag and Colton set up. The boy's do ask for help and opinions as needed, so the dads aren't completely left out.

Our littlest Fire Cracker.

This is what Emily looks like when all she has eaten all day is SUGAR!!!!!

We think that these kids are going to bed any time soon.... Really?
